Dragonfly (Personal Information Manager)
US$20.00
Dragonfly is a PIM (personal information manager) with a web-like user-interface that keeps track of contacts, meetings, reminders, tasks, and projects. Unlike other PIMs, Dragonfly acts as "backup" memory for you. It keeps a daily log of what you accomplish, provides a journal, allows you to take notes during meetings and phone calls, remembers the text from web pages and online documents that you read, and even helps you recall memories from your past.
(Approximately 1.5 meg)
Dragonfly includes the following features:
| Today/Tomorrow | Shows you what meetings,
reminders, tasks, and projects you need to work on. Look at these pages if you just want
to focus on the here-and-now. |
| Calendar | A monthly calendar
showing what work you need to do, and more importantly, what holidays are coming up. The
calendar also lets you see what work items you have accomplished on any particular day. |
| Reminders | Short date-activated notes that remind
you to complete work items or check up on things. |
| Tasks | Manage and prioritize your tasks. |
| Projects | Easy-to-use project management. It watches
for hidden conflicts and guestimates when you'll finish the project. |
| Notes | Quickly jot down notes about ideas before you
forget them. |
| Journal | Write down notes and organize them into
categories. Notes can include numerical values (such as your weight) that you can graph on
your favorite spreadsheet. Journal entries are also indexed by the search page. |
| Memory Lane | Reminisce and take a walk down memory
lane; use this to help you remember your past and write it down. It may sound like a
strange concept, but it will help you think of people and things you've long forgotten. |
| Archive | Remember and index documents you have read
on the Internet. That way when two years from now you think: "I know I read about
that but I can't remember the details," you'll be able to look them up. |
| People | Address book and contact management. Not
only does it contain the usual phone numbers and addresses, but this address book records
every meeting, phone call, and journal entry relating to the person. |
| Phone | Use your computer's modem to dial for you.
Keep track of phone calls you make. When you're on the phone take notes and assign action
items. |
| Meetings | Schedule meetings. And, while you're in a
meeting, take notes on your laptop, or assign and track action items. |
| Search | This lets you search through all the
information you've stored in Dragonfly, including the calendar, reminders, tasks,
projects, notes, journal entries, archived documents, people, and phone calls. |
