Gallery

This is a small gallery of 3DOB images that I am in the progress of putting together. (User submissions welcomed.) Image galleries are a common marketing tool for CAD and 3D modelling software. Mine is a bit different...

The competitors display the most impressive images they can. However, they neglect to tell the reader how many days of work the author had to spend building the model, and how many hours it took for the computer to draw it.

3D Outside the Box is not trying to produce the most realistic images, just a good image in a reasonable time. Below each image I list (as accurately as I can) how long it took the author to produce the model, and how long the image took to draw.

The entire EagleEye house model took about 8 hours to enter. It is modelled from my house. See http://www.mXac.com.au/EagleEye for photos of the real house.

Short animation (1.4 meg). About 25 seconds at 5 FPS and 320x240 resolution; the animation script is included in the install, so you can always produce a higher resoltion/FPS one. I just tried to minimize download times. Right-click on the image and select "Save target as..." to save the animation to your hard drive.
